This game mode fixed my relationship

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 05:56 AM PDT

Recently I finally bought zombie chronicals for bo3 and have been playing it all the time. My girlfriend and i have been arguing quite a bit before this and the relationship was nearly at its end. However when she came over she saw me playing some origins. When i died I was gonna turn off my game and obviously was gonna spend some time with her but she asked if it was 2 players because she thought it was cool. I said yeah and handed her a controler and we played some shi no numa. Fast forward to know and we have been playing it together a lot and getting along very well. Even when we are not playing the game we are still getting along and there has been 0 arguments between us since. Im 99% sure it was this game mode.

Going to state it now - Double Tap should be a perk

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 06:04 AM PDT

It was awful how Double Tap II was incorporated into BO4, we'd gone from a 2k perk that affected all bullet based weapons PaPed or not to having to spend 15k to get max potential on only 1 weapon - how on earth is that better? With that system it forces one to PaP their weapons earlier as they are ineffective earlier on and points can be scarce enough in BO4s system early on anyway.

I feel its also often glossed over the 4 PaPs in BO4 only provide a 25% damage increase - the original essence of Double tap in the first place - increased fire rate is not included.

    Cold War Zombies Leaks.

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 10:57 PM PDT

If you've heard recently. There has been images going around of what is supposedly Cold War zombies. It seemed quite fake, but as of today TGR (The Gaming Revolution) says that it is real. So as of right now the guy who originally posted the images seems to have a lot more credibility going for him.

I will not be sharing those images for obvious reasons, besides you can probably find them quite easy. The guy who originally posted them in the call of duty server has also said this in regards to some stuff about the game.

(Edit: As I mentioned down the bottom. There is a big datamine going on with the PS4 Alpha. I believe this may be why TGR came out today saying the images were real as a result of some of the stuff found. Obviously, remember to take these all with a grain of salt.)

    * Cherry, Deadshot, Speed, Stamin Up, Quick Revive and Jug are in CW

    * ZC2 and Factions are not a thing

    * Widows Wine isnt in the game

    * Juggernog is different

    * He thinks Zombies looks good, don't worry

    * Double Tap is still repacking your gun but instead of 4 times its now 3

    * Pack a Punch is Crafted in CW

    * He thinks 4/5 maps are being worked on

    * 2 maps at launch, Vietnam map and Die Maschine

    * Teddy bear is replaced with a bunny/rabbit

(Update: I've talked to some people, and there is a big datamine going on with the PS4 Alpha right now. Only things I know for sure is no mention of electric cherry in the datamine, jug isn't different. And the part about double tap mentioned above is correct. Perks also also 2.0s from what I've heard, meaning you can upgrade them like modifiers in bo4.)

Infinite Warfare with all DLC on sale for $29.99 (normally $99.99) on Xbox currently.

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 07:53 AM PDT

Ever wanted to give IW zombies a try, but never felt like dealing $60 for the game and another $30 for the season pass? Well nows the time to give it a try, as IW and it's season pass (and also MW Remastered) are now for sale on the Xbox store for only $30!

Experience the super fun and light hearted zombies maps IW has to offer: - Zombies In Spaceland (launch map) - Rave in the Redwoods (DLC1) - Shaolin Shuffle (DLC 2) - Attack of the Radioactive Thing (DLC3) - Beast from Beyond (DLC4)

This deal is an absolute bargain for anyone who wanted to check out this game! I honestly believe IW zombies is the best Non-Treyarch zombies, with ZIS and Rave being high tier maps in my opinion. Not to mention a really challenging Super EE, as well as Directors Cut to unlock! IW Zombies got way too much hate for how much fun and different-but-still-same it is! I would definitely recommend checking out this deal.

Cold War Zombies Story Idea (Aether Continuation/Reboot)

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 09:58 AM PDT

I know, I know, there's been an abundance of Cold War Zombies storyline theories/ideas/suggestions. But an interesting idea just occurred to me and I wanted to throw it out there to see what the general community thinks.

Now if you want the Aether story to stay dead and buried and want something 100% fresh and new then this obviously won't appeal to you, and that's fair. But I think this would be the best way to continue it, whilst also freshening it up a little.

The story is set in a post Tag world, where both Samantha and Eddie have now grown up but not completely forgotten the events which transpired.

Samantha has effectively gone the Sarah Conner route. In and out of care homes and mental health facilities for a lot of her early life, as she can't entirely shake the fear that the evil lurking in the Dark Aether will one day break free (as it has done before), or zombies will be created regardless via other means. As of the time the game is set, she's very much a "doomsday prepper". Accumulating and training herself in the use of various firearms, always ready should the worst happen.

Eddie's story went slight differently. He was able to reign in his fears a lot more than Sam, so he was never institutionalized and was taken in by a fairly well off family. He had a good upbringing, a great education and eventually went on to become, what else, a scientist. A scientist working for the US government. His hope being that by being on the "inside" he would be able to prevent (or sabotage if necessary) any experimentation into reanimating corpses or anything of that nature. Whilst looking like Richtofen (with different hair), he sounds completely different due to being raised in America. He also doesn't have the last name Richtofen, instead it's Richardson.

Sam and Eddie have now been separated for years. They did what they could to stay in contact for a while, but eventually lost touch completely. That is until they both start hearing voices. Voices, somehow, from the Dark Aether. The voices of the Primis/Ultimis crew. At first all they can hear is "Save our souls". But eventually they're able to start making out what appear to be instructions. Instructions which would help put those lost souls to rest for good, as well destroy the Dark Aether once and for all. This leads to Sam and Eddie tracking each other down and beginning their journey to put the ghosts of the past to rest once and for all.

This is where we join them at the start of the game as they (along with two companions, who I'll be honest I've not put too much thought into as they're new characters and I'm just writing this as it comes to me), across the five maps, follow the instructions they're given and assemble the pieces needed to destroy the Dark Aether.

At the end of the last DLC map's easter egg they complete and activate the device. However the outcome isn't what they expect. Instead of the device destroying the Dark Aether, it opens up a gateway to it. Through it steps Tank, Takeo, Nikolai and Richtofen, but something's wrong. Their eyes glow red and they're surrounded by a dark shadowy aura. They've been tainted by the Dark Aether. They're no longer the Primis Crew or the Ultimis Crew. They're the Tenebris (dark) Crew, here to bring about the end of the world. The four horseman of the apocalypse.

This would be where the story ends, to be continued in Black Ops 6 where the Tenebris Crew would be the main antagonists in a post apocalyptic world (somewhat similar to BO2).

If you read this far I appreciate it, and if you have any ideas (such as how the zombies would be introduced) I'm all ears.

Whats your favorite and least favorite map from every game?

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 07:11 AM PDT

    World at War:

    Best - Shi No Numa

    Worst - Veruckt

As much as I like Veruckt's aesthetic and atmosphere, it's tight and narrow paths make navigating around zombies a serious problem, and there's barely any room to train.

    Black Ops:

    Best - Moon

    Worst - Shangri-La

Honestly I just don't like Shang, I never did, imo it's just tedious and overly difficult with no training spots. Cool WW tho.

    Black Ops 2:

    Best - Origins

    Worst - Nuketown 2025

Yes, I legit think Nuketown is worse than TranZit, and I will die on this hill. At least TranZit gives you stuff to do, Nuketown is just boring imho.

    Black Ops 3:

Best - Shadows of Evil or Zetsubou (DE is also god tier, but so is every BO3 map if we're being honest)

    Worst - Gorod Krovi

There's a lot of things I like about gorod, but honestly the irritation of those fuckin robots outweighs all of its good qualities. Fuck valkyrie drones lol.

    WW2:

    Best - The Final Reich

    Worst - The Tortured Path

While I honestly think WW2 Zombies is really underrated, I can't deny that it peaked with its launch map. With the exception of The Shadowed Throne (maybe?) the dlc maps were just forgettable.

    Infinite Warfare:

    Best: Rave in the Redwoods

    Worst: The Beast From Beyond

IW zombies was by far the best non-treyarch zombies, and it deserves a lot more love. Change my mind.

    Black Ops 4:

    Best: IX

    Worst: Voyage of Despair

If IX was a BO3 map it would be one of the Goats, but unfortunately it's stuck in BO4. I heard Ancient Evil was pretty good too, but the core gameplay of BO4 was so unenjoyable I never even bothered with it tbh.

    What do you guys think?

This should’ve been the reward for completing all the Easter eggs in BO3...

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 09:53 AM PDT

Removing the perk limit! Yeah it was cool that we also got to start with an RK5 but I feel like removing the perk limit would've made more sense and would've been a much cooler prize. I know they never would have because of gobble gums but I wish that's the way it was.

Haven't played zombies since BO2 - My Wishlist

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 09:33 AM PDT

Stick with me here before downvoting!

Call me a gaming boomer or whatever if you disagree, but I'm and eager to come back to zombies. Plenty of people loved Origins and I can see why, but that was the map that turned me away. I wasn't a fan of the super fantasy-eque aspects of it (magical ancient staffs, giant robots walking around, etc.) and then the trailer for BO3 had even more of that seen in tentacle monsters. I and many others have loved the classics (WAW, BO1, BO2); a mode that is grounded in reality with the inclusion of some sci-fi tech (weapons, teleporters, perks) and zombies of course.

This got me thinking about what I wanted to see from CW:

    1. A new, interesting, grounded-in-realistic-sci-fi storyline that keeps us waiting for the next DLC like a kid on Christmas Eve, excited for the next chapter and Easter Egg. Maybe some cliff-hangers throughout the story, a little character development, some cut-scenes. Maybe the characters are on a mission to find a cure and need items from each map. Maybe it's the original 3 with a new character searching for the missing 4th member.
    2. Maps without stuff like tentacle monsters and roaming mini-bosses (think George Romero, warden, napalm zombies, etc). Making zombies the main, nerve-wracking focus should be integral, I think we can all agree. Making more variants of zombies themselves like the crawler that the player needs to account for could keep players on their toes to avoid hours of mindless training in open areas.
    3. More map-specific dog-round enemies. There were other ways of raising the stakes like the monkeys on ascension that made you nervous but weren't annoying. Variants of the dog rounds were a good implementation which threw off the flow of a game in a good way.
    4. Reasons to keep playing after completing an easter egg:
      1. Give zombies a rank/calling card/emblem system so people can be competitive with their accolades. (Kill 10 zombies with one use of a weapon, kill 5,000 zombies without going down in a round, PaP 2 wonder weapons in one game, etc.) It would be fun to go into a game with a different objective every time, grinding to 'complete a map' before the next one comes out like we complete guns in MP.
      2. Multiplayer rewards could be a good method of incentivizing too.
      3. Maybe more achievements regarding zombies beside easter egg completion. I'll be honest, I don't know if that's a thing right now, so correct me if I'm wrong.
    5. Dynamic maps and map transportation. Maps that occasionally changed like the excavator on moon or moved the players the lunar landers on ascension were interesting and added some strategy or at the very least, made you think a few steps ahead. Of course, I'm not talking about going overboard like removing half the map because 'it's flooding this round' or something.
    6. Old perk system with a twist. Maybe you keep jug after downing but at .5 its strength, except jug is more expensive to compensate for the boost. Pretty difficult to recover after going down on round 30+ in old games.
    7. No create a class. saw people talking about that and I'm not sure if that's a thing. Return to weapons on wall and mystery box would be simpler and avoids the idea of OP weapons I think.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Maybe I'm outdated nowadays and the community has shifted. If so, I'd love to hear why. A sense of return to its roots would certainly draw me and multiple friends back in, but that's not to say that the old way was perfect by any means!
