Shangri-La IS on Mars - Zombies' best kept secret

    Posted: 22 May 2021 09:42 AM PDT

    Fairly long post incoming.

SHANGRI-LA IS ON MARS, AND TAG DER TOTEN IS A POCKET DIMENSION

Thanks to user thecaljitsu for lots of information on an old post of mine.

First of all, it's important to mention that Shangri-La being on Mars is an old, old myth that is a meme at this point. But I never understood why when the evidence is all over the place.

Not to mention The Secret in Tag Der Toten (which I'll get back to), and how people interprated it as "just a meme". I highly, highly doubt Treyarch would go out of their way to code a flinger, an ice cavern, an island, make a huge Mars render, and even give it its own achievement and calling it literally The Secret if it was just "making fun of a fan theory".

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimmy's storyline was obviously different in tone than Blundel's, that's to be expected with different creative directors. But Blundel didn't just overwrite everything Jimmy did; he simply built on it, and that foundation was still very much there. Texture names were found in BO1's files called "MarsVista", followed by Jimmy's famous tweet of "Shangri-La mountains". This alone of course meant something.

Richtofen speaks in-game where he calls the temple in Shangri-La a "Time traveling temple!". Shangri-La's loading screen shows a circular moon, and the temple seemingly being tragged down into a Vril-symbol hole by a tornado. Where does it end up? In a state where there's an eclipse due to an oddly shaped Moon. This is NOT our moon. Instead, it highly resembles the shape of Phobos, one of Mars' moons:

    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5c/Phobos_colour_2008.jpg

The temple didn't just travel in time - it traveled in space. This has happened before in the story with Buried, being transported from the 1200s to 2025 merged with an underground mine. Shangri-La was transported to a time when Mars had an atmosphere and alive enviorment. The moon alone straight up confirms it, as that is simply not Earth's moon. In Vril lore, Mars was the first planet inhabited by them. Vril in Cod Zombies is of course the Keepers. Irl, there's even lots of signs of Mars having had rivers and water millions of years ago. In other words: The Eclipse section of Shangri-La is on Mars, millions of years ago.

So what's the deal with The Secret and Tag Der Toten?

In the Tag der Toten official trailer, the camera flies away from the island, straight towards the ice cavern, before cutting to the poster/artwork for the map:

    https://youtu.be/fYou_KHcvbQ?t=50

Now, where do we see this in-game? That is not the sun in the poster - that is Mars. The camera is literally flying away from the island, towards the ice cavern, showing us Mars at the end. So is this really still just a nod back to one of a thousand fan theories? Even if it was, why exactly this one? When The Secret and Mars is the face of the map in its trailer, in-game artwork, poster... It's obvious it holds more than a little significance.

Tag Der Toten is not on Earth. It's a pocket dimension. Agartha's entrance is inside the Earth, just like in the myths. And Tag's dimension's entrance is not inside Mars nor Earth, but inside Phobos, the moon of Mars. In Tag, there's only water and ice bergs as far as you can see. Pablo is neither alive nor dead, similar to The Warden in Blood of the Dead (another pocket dimension). When you reach the far-off iceberg in Tag, and start swimming through the ice cavern, you litereally end up at the surface of Phobos, staring at the dead Mars in the present time. Why is the Shangri-La music playing? Because you're looking directly at where the map takes place.

When you travel through the ice cavern, you are literally leaving the pocket dimension through Phobos' core.

Is this really all just a meme/old outdated fan theory? I highly doubt it.

Berlin Theory: Silos A, B, and D. What about Silo C? (Possible spoilers)

    Posted: 22 May 2021 03:03 PM PDT

This has been kind of bothering me as I've been following the story we see in the the Outbreak EE. In the EE, we see the three missiles launched into the Pacific, and are left to think "Welp, that's that." But if you've done the Easter egg, you know that Silo C is closed off the entire time. It's never mentioned or addressed. So what if Omega somehow kept that 4th missile saved, protected, preserved, etc for future use. Valentina has discussed striking Berlin and Operatsiya Inversiya was her brainchild. So... does anyone else think that Silo C could possibly house a 4th missile that will be used to target Berlin, setting up our next survival map? Maybe that's what the next Outbreak EE will show us.

    Any one have any thoughts?
