My first thought upon seeing the Revelations ending cutscene was "what the fuck, it was all pointless then?" and like many others I found myself disapointed. But now, after stewing on that ending for a while and seeing what they did with the Aether in BO4, I can't help but wish 3arc had stuck to their guns with Revelations being the finale. Our four heroes stand, overlooking the beauty of a universe at peace, the minds and hearts of these broken soldiers finally at ease. It's a brief but impactful moment of serenity, and it's highlighted by the somber interaction that follows it. After endless battles, relentless horrors, and ceaseless chaos, these four soldiers have achieved their ultimate goal only to be told they are not welcome in the perfect world they created. It isn't through any fault of their own, of Samantha, Richtofen, or even Monty, it's simply their nature. They are the redeemers of the universe, but also the catalyst of its destruction. They are the cursed, and the only way for the universe to be at peace is for them to continue their cycle of torment. This is a very bleak ending, but also very in tune with the themes of the story; the themes of self sacrifice and endless cycles, themes that are woven even into the gameplay of Zombies. It's always been a cycle, and no matter how hard they fought or how far they make it they are cursed to live it all again, endlessly fighting for a world they are unwelcome in. I dunno, I just think there's something poetic about that. I also felt this strengthened the significance of Zombie Chronicles, as it highlighted the heroes continuous struggle for peace in a world of relentless chaos. The ending we got with Tag der Toten was just.. meh. It felt like they were back pedaling after the negative reaction Revelations got, but it really just retreaded all the same ground. Our heroes all still get fucked over in the end, Primis and Ultimis poisened by Nikolai who is in turn executed by samantha, and Victis just gets wiped away with the rest of the corrupted universe. Don't get me wrong, there are things that I liked abt BO4. I liked that this time Ultimis and Primis were happy and content in their final moments, and I like that Victis was finally brought back, but the things I like about it simply don't outweigh my disappointment in its execution. I didn't like how Ultimis and Primis were unknowingly poisened, I didn't feel like they made that sacrifice as a group and lessened the impact imo. And I was especially disapointed in how the Victis crew (TranZit crew) was handled, I mean what was even the point in bringing them back if they were just gonna get evaporated from the multiverse? They got completely screwed over and they didn't even get to be happy and at peace in their last moments, they were scared and confused just trying to get out of their hell alive, only to be led into their own demise by the one they thought was leading them to salvation. If anybody deserved a happy ending in BO4, it was Victis. But thats just my opinion on it tho, what do you guys think? [link] [comments] | ||

Treyarch Isn't Censoring The Hammer And Sickle Anymore Posted: 19 Sep 2020 11:42 PM PDT They removed the hammer and sickle imagery from the rocket ship in Ascension in zombie chronicles. Also Nikolai player model in the BO1 remake maps has the hammer and sickle removed aswell from his head. Bo3 and Bo4 had it censored with nuketown 4.0 not having any hammer and sickles despite being set in a soviet setting. Gorod Krovi had no hammer and sickles even though it was in stalingrad and there's socialists red stars without the yellow hammer and sickle. However the map, Moscow in BOCW has hammer and sickles everywhere. [link] [comments] | ||

I'm basically creating my own perk Ideas, So like how the perks are based on drink names in zombies likeJug O NogSpeed colaElectric CherryWidows Wineand many more So I'm trying to get mine on a Lolipop names, So I'm asking for any Ideas.The perks I'll be having will be a bit different and some the same, So here's the list Double Damage - same as double tap , I've thought of Sucker Punch as a name More Health - same as Jog O Nog Faster Reloads - same as Speed Cola Last revive - this is when you go down , but instead of lying on the ground , you gain invincibility for 5 seconds and trigger an explosion that kills all zombies close to you. but functions like Quick revive. Charge perk - This allows you to do a charge attack on a cool down which kills any zombies hit Better Drops - Just makes all Drops better in some way, still trying to make the drops though this is all the perks I'm adding to keep my scope small , maybe add more in future depending how I feel. Posted: 20 Sep 2020 09:21 AM PDT Why do we play as Primis/Ultimis on AO, Victis on Tag, and not the other way around? AO connects in no significant way to Primis/Ultimis while Tag is the literal place Ultimis came together for the first time, the place where their souls across all dimensions were bound to the Aether forever through the elemental shard. Victis serves zero connection to Tag, while both Russman and Marlton have massive connections to AO. The main argument people use against this is that the characters couldn't have had their "peaceful" end around the campfire if they were fighting at Tag but I disagree. All they had to do was frame the opening and the campfire quotes as if they were taking place before Tag, only to reveal at the end that the campfire scenes were taking place afterwards. Why Treyarch didn't do this will never not baffle me. It's so baffling in fact that I'm genuinely curious to if there was some sort of behind the scenes something that forced them to switch the characters around. Posted: 20 Sep 2020 12:05 PM PDT Going back to Zombies Pre-BO3, it was fucking terrifying and rewarding at all once. Working your way through the rounds/map and activating the power was an accomplishment to casuals and even hardcore players, and it adds the difficulty that makes zombies challenging in a good way. Not the kind of challenge that makes it annoying. I'm not saying I don't like BO3, but Zombies is now too easy. BO4 dug a deeper hole by rewarding you with becoming OP the second you spawn in.
