In waw, bo2, bo3, and bo4 all of them had a new ray gun feature in dlc 3.

    Posted: 10 Jan 2020 09:05 PM PST

In waw it was der riese, when pap was introduced, so it got the porters X2 ray gun. In bo2 it was buried, that added the ray gun mark 2. In bo3 it was gorod krovi, which had the GKZ- 45 mk 3 which is basically the ray gun mark 3. And bo4 had alpha omega which had the mark 2 elemental upgrades. It just is kinda weird and cool that it's all in the dlc 3s.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well as the specific DLC that i think is screwed up (First Strike, Annihilation) and it hasn't worked. Had the game on steam since like 2015 and have never had an issue until I installed it this time around. Hell, it worked on this same PC a year and a half ago iirc. Googled this countless times and cant find anything other than one reddit post with a similar problem on Moon but it was on console. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A Custom Perk Idea I Had: Flashdance Fizz

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 12:29 PM PST

Alright so the basic idea is that it would be an alternative to Stamin-Up while not completely replacing it

-2500 Points (Could be raised to 3000 or higher)

    -Increases sprint speed by 25%

-(Main Effect) Sprinting creates Flashdance steps. Creating a lingering effect where you've stepped

-Some zombies will drop Flashdance drops (Like Widows Wine grenades) that alternates your Flashdance step effects between lightning, fire, and a cryo effect. Lightning will deal light damage over time and have a chance to stun zombies for 5 seconds. Fire will deal heavier-infinite (Haven't decided yet) damage. And cryo will do no damage but will slow zombies behind you with a chance to freeze them

-Steps that you start off with after drinking are randomized

-The Flashdance drops will have distinct designs so you know what effect you get. Fire will be a flame, lightning will be a lightning bolt, and cryo will be a snowflake

-This perk cannot be obtained if you already have Stamin-Up and will prevent you from getting Stamin-Up if you have Flashdance Fizz

I thought that zombies could really use some more mobility options so I decided to give coming up with one a shot. Flashdance Fizz is my first perk idea and I'd love to hear your feedback and what you guys think! If you're a modder and want to use the idea go right ahead (I have 0 modding experience but I'd make it myself if I could). Thank you guys for reading and have a nice day!

    Zombies Needs to Change

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 08:31 AM PST

I've been playing zombies for a very long time. Since 2010, with Kino. I've played through each zombies game, including IW, AW, and WW2. From what I have gathered over the years, zombies is a game about innovation. It's the whole point of the game mode. I don't understand people who keep saying they want BO5 to just be like BO3. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if it dies in a few weeks. Think back, to the release of a few specific maps. - Moon - As controversial as the map is, it brought features and dynamics never before seen in zombies. A huge step in innovation. Compare Moon to Kino, they are incredibly different. - Tranzit - Another controversially map, but another map that innovated the formula. Buildable's, the bus, two Easter egg paths, etc. - Mob of the Dead - Introduced countless new mechanics. Afterlife, the Plane, the new Power System, Hell's Retriever. - Origins - Staffs, Robots, Tank, And the pure style of the Easter egg was different than what we saw before. - Der Eisendrache - Bossfights was a massive innovation.

Zombies has lost this. You take a look at Tag Der Toten, what's so different about if from IX. From Alpha Omega. Every map in Black Ops 4 feels the same because every map since Origins has been built on the same damn formula. Including IW and WW2 zombies. If the formula doesn't change, then I fail to understand how zombies can grow any further.

Using Extra Credit During Double Points Gives 2,500 points

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 11:40 AM PST

I've just never seen anyone mention it here, maybe it's well known. But if I'm using extra credit to try to get set up faster in a game I always wait until double points to get 10,000 points from it instead of 5,000. That's on Black Ops 3 of course, I believe the same works in BO4 just not as quickly.

The innovation is what I need not the nostalgic (bo5)

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 09:56 AM PST

I'm sick of all people who just want the old system and old map I want the developers surprise me with new gameplay mechanics new map ... Like what bo4 did -new perk system -different points system -good elixer (because the gum in bo3 was broken) -class system -game mode ....

Bo4 make me play different ways than any cod zombies It true that bo4 had problems at lunch but the time I'm interesting is today and the game work a lot better (I think it works better than bo3) / I always say it bo4 is my favorite cod zombies because they did something different and good hope we're going to get something similar And for people who say (the map of bo4 are remastered) first thing the map are remake you don't play the same way like before (new place-new wonder wepen-another EE) secondly did you forget the chaos story? We have 4 chaos map and if we compare to bo3 we don't have lack of content Bo3(4 new aether map 1 remake<revelation> and were not going to talk about ZC and the gaient because we are talking what bo3 created not remastered map of bo2-1 Bo4(4 new chaos map 4 remake) So we got more map in bo4 and all of them was a big innovations

It not the nostalgis who make the game good but it your memory who blinde you And don't just listen to the other youtuber make your own opinion If you want to do the same thing over and over than play bo(1-2-3) and take fun Even if I will get a lot of downvot I have to say it

Unpopular opinion: IX has the worst BO4 EE quest

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 09:25 AM PST

I've seriously done both Blood and Voyage more times than IX. I either die or simply get bored and quit.

First off (and most importantly): there is SO much waiting, dear god. You have to wait for the audience to throw you the gold jar for the Orion. You have to wait a round for the jar to fill up. You have to wait for a Gladiator to spawn to get the piece of wood. You have to wait several rounds for the wood to burn. You must then wait rounds for the mixture to be done. Then you have to wait several rounds AGAIN after placing down the mixture. By this point you've burnet through SO many rounds. And I always struggle with the Fire Bomb on top of it. I burned through several rounds and didn't activate it.

The RA step requires you to look up stuff online (something I hate having to do on Main Quests cough Gorod Krovi cough). Then, running around the whole map to find the 4 plates to shoot with the shield is just tedious.

The only thing I like about this quest is the infinite Special weapon step and the Boss. Everything else I hate. I personally don't understand why so many people like this quest.

Here's a collection of all of the main easter egg songs, along with some bonus tracks in high-quality 320kbps

    Posted: 10 Jan 2020 06:48 PM PST

Some people keep on asking here and there for a collection of all of the main activatable songs in a higher quality than the usual 128kbps, myself included. While some good collections do exist out there, they usually have a lot of songs in 128 kbps. Pareidolia, for example, is almost never found in quality above 128kbps.

I took it upon myself to rip every single easter egg song from the PC game files, BO4 included. I put some extras and side songs in there as well (excluding Dead Ops). All of them are 320kbps (converted from uncompressed WAV files), and you can verify that via their spectral graphs. This collection is a convenient way to listen to the songs in a high quality that isn't distorted when you raise up the volume, without having to rip all of the songs out from the game files yourself.

I entered all of the correct metadata in an orderly fashion as well, and also put together a custom album cover art (an amateur one lmao): https://i.imgur.com/UEbm0IY.jpg

Here are a couple of examples of the spectral graphs of the songs in this collection: If it cuts off at 20khZ, it's 320kbps. For reference, 16khZ is 128kbps. It's only the first 10 songs cause I can't take a picture of every single song's spectral graph (there are 57 songs and it'd take too long), but they all cut off at 20khZ or even go above that sometimes (which isn't a bad thing). You can verify the rest if you have doubts.

    Enjoy:

    Album Link (GDrive)

Side-note: I know a couple of really good original songs aren't there, but this collection mostly just has the main songs along with a couple of my favorite side songs.

The Guide to an Ideal Easter Egg

    Posted: 10 Jan 2020 09:04 PM PST

After some time, I've decided to make a guide on how to make an ideal easter egg, for me, anyway.

1: Have something or someone announce clear steps to continue. Think of Rushmore from Alpha Omega or Pablo from Tag Der Toten.

2: Codes should be used sparingly, and put very early on so a player can get the potentially frustrating part of finding and inputing codes into a device out of the way early.

3: Incorporate every part of the map in one way or another. If multiple wonder weapons, have them all contribute something. Think of the Gauntlets from Ancient Evil and the Challenge Totems from Tag.

4: Time limits are stressful, and should be paired with a (manageable) onslaught of zombies until the step is done. I haven't actually encountered any time limits in easter eggs myself, but I've only fully gone through AE.

5: Bosses that spawn naturally are great! Think of spawning blightfathers/werewolves/gegenees during the final boss battles of their respective maps. Use special enemies a lot, to make the experience diverse and keep the player on their toes.

6: Speaking of, the final boss battle should have several mechanics (but not too many) required to beat it. Think of the Warden in BoTD with his orbs, and the device that needs charged with the spectral shield.

7: Don't fall for trial-and-error garbage like the Atlas step from DoTN. If you do a mechanic like this, at least include a guide in one way or another on how to overcome it.

8: RNG is special. It can make or break a good EE run. Put crucial objects in the same area and only change it up a little with RNG, so players will know where to go, generally, for the next step.

9: It is ideal for the EE to be capable solo, but easier with friends. Think of the Moon remake from Black Ops 3: You can complete part of it by yourself, but you need multiple players for the grand finale.

So, there's a little guide to what I would say is a great EE. Take it or leave it IG

Has anyone else been naturally good at Cod Zombies?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2020 08:14 PM PST

What I mean is like the first time you played Zombies you got to a pretty decent round like around 15.
