    Die Maschine Wallpaper I made

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 09:00 AM PDT

If you pay close attention, you can see that blood is making a return to zombies. Early leaks suggested Treyarch may have accidentally released an elite squad of janitors on each map early. But fear not, this classic feature is back.

Analysis of the leaks from two weeks ago

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 08:07 AM PDT

Two weeks ago, we had two posts with a bunch of leaks for zombies. I went back and read through them and a lot of was confirmed, and a lot wasn't, so we'll see what looks to be potentially true based on the reveal.

    • Cherry, Deadshot, Speed, Stamin Up, Quick Revive and Jug are in CW
      • Partial confirmation: Deadshot, Speed, Quick Revive and Jug were confirmed in the reveal. Which could indicate the return of Stamin-Up. Cherry has some conflicting reports below.
    • ZC2 and Factions are not a thing
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Widows Wine isnt in the game
      • Uncomfirmed: We didn't see any indication of Widow's Wine existing.
    • Juggernog is different
      • Unconfirmed: We saw jug looking the same, despite new machines for Speed/Deadshot.
    • He thinks Zombies looks good, don't worry
      • Partial confirmation: I agree, but this is more of a subjective thing.
    • Double Tap is still repacking your gun but instead of 4 times its now 3
      • Partial confirmation: We didn't really see this mentioned at all but we also didn't see Double Tap anywhere. This could be the way of upgrading rarity which is why I'm calling it a partial.
    • Pack a Punch is Crafted in CW
      • Unconfirmed: We saw the cool Washing Machine from Hell: aka the Forge in the teaser. Didn't show whether it was crafted or not.
    • He thinks 4/5 maps are being worked on
      • Unconfirmed.
    • 2 maps at launch, Vietnam map and Die Maschine
      • Partial confirmation: We saw Die Maschine obviously, so the fact that it's straight up calling it by name two weeks in advance is a good indicator of the validity of any unconfirmed elements here. We also saw a map on Weaver's desk pointing to Vietnam and another map pointing to the likely location of Die Maschine, so odds are good that there will be another launch map.
    • Teddy bear is replaced with a bunny/rabbit
      • Confirmed.
    • 3 Maps at launch. Die Maschine (ZM_Silver) which features nacht in it, Firebase Z (ZM_Pink) which is set in vietnam. And a normal survival map variant of the nacht that appears in Die Maschine.
      • Partial confirmation: Like we saw a few points above. There's a precedent in past games of doing the small survival variant of the bigger map. It happened with TranZit in BO2 and was a popular concept.
    • DLC Maps: ZM_Platinum = Berlin (Could potentially be a kino remake).(Note: The belief is it'd be similar to how nacht is in Die Maschine. It's just "a part" of the map. So for a potential kino remake, it'd feature kino in it. But the map itself would be an expanded version of kino)
      • Unconfirmed: Obviously they wouldn't mention future DLC plans in the launch map reveal.
    • Code Name_TheGiant (Der Riese Remake)
      • Unconfirmed.
    • TranZit won't be there at launch.
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Perk machines now look like the WW2 ones and are cans
      • Partial confirmation: I'd say this is a full confirm, but I don't really see the similarities at all between WW2 machines and what we saw in CW. I mean, Jug and Quick Revive were identical. Speed and Pop were very retro 80s and eye-popping, the opposite of WW2. Deadshot looks vaguely WW2 ish but not really, it has more of an 80s death metal vibe. But we did see cans, so that part is confirmed.
    • Stamin-up, Deadshot, Elemental Pop (New perk), Quick Revive, Jug, Speed, all perks are 2.0 versions and can be upgraded four times
      • Partial confirmation: We did get confirmation in the video that perks are upgradeable, but not specifically how or how much and how different they are from their traditional counterparts. Still no evidence of Stamin-up in the video.
    • Have been hearing different things about Cherry and Double tap. One person says there in the game and one is saying Electric Cherry is not but double pack gives you double tap (like how it worked in bo4)
      • Unconfirmed: We saw no evidence of either one in the trailer.
    • Specialists weapons are returning. (Healing Aura, Frost Blast, Aether Shroud, Energy Bind)
      • Partial confirmation: We saw things like the War Machine and they discussed explosive bows, which are specialist weapons. They also discussed field upgrades and how they would help via healing and other methods. None of those names were mentioned but they match the description.
    • A knife is inside the mystery box
      • Unconfirmed.
    • guns have rarities (aka like fortnite)
      • Confirmed: This is a huge point to get correct and adds to the validity.
    • Double Pack abilities return, Plasmatic burst is the code name for a new AAT ability
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Lots of new boss zombies but they're easy to take out.
      • Confirmed: "Lots" is a subjective descriptor, but based on the trailer I would agree with it.
    • New panzer type coming (It has a jetpack on)
      • Unconfirmed: But we did see a panzer-looking zombie.
    • Hazmat Zombie
      • Confirmed.
    • Russian Mech (Similar to gorod krovi mangler)Mimic Zombie
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Nova dogs (Novacrawler/hellhound hybrid??)
      • Confirmed
    • Summoner Zombie
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Brutus and Avogadro have references in Die Maschine
      • Partial confirmation: We saw a brutus graffiti, I believe. We also saw a cosmic silverback one.
    • Adler and Baker are playable in Zombies
      • Confirmed.
    • May be able to pick who you play as in Zombies. (Not certain on this)
      • Confirmed.
    • Weaver is the commanding officer who sends your characters to their mission quests aka the maps
      • Confirmed.
    • Weaver will talk to you as you play the game
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Original Ray Gun is returning along with a new Ray Gun Rifle
      • Partial confirmation: We saw the OG Ray Gun in action, but no evidence of a ray rifle, unless the big blue cannon is that.
    • Shield is coming back
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Jet pack buildable, 5 parts to build it. (I know, I can't believe it either. If true, that's crazy lmao)
      • Unconfirmed.
    • "Aether Scope". At certain points it'll show you flashbacks of the aether. (kinda like ingame cutscenes. Its like the weird red flashing stuff we seen in the teaser)
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Melee weapons are returning similar to the shovel in ww2.
      • Unconfirmed.
    • Self revives might be a thing like in ww2 as well
      • Unconfirmed.
    • There's references to elixirs in terms of MTX (Likely left overs from bo4)
      • Unconfirmed.
    • New Damned Version
      • Unconfirmed.
    • There is a way to physically win zombies now. (Not sure how this works)
      • Confirmed: Another big hit for the leaks, the exfil system was discussed.
    • Theres two modes, survival and a quest type mode
      • Unconfirmed.
    • There's references to "loot" in the game as rewards
      • Confirmed: The devs mentioned loot multiple times in the video, but did not elaborate.
    • Alternate endings on Die Maschine
      • Partial confirmation: This could refer to a successful exfil vs dying.
    • Story continues after tag der toten, stuff will start bleeding out from the dark aether on the Die Maschine map.
      • Confirmed.
    • No Primis, Ultimis or Victis
      • Confirmed.
    • Nikolai's glove is on die maschine
      • Unconfirmed.

TL;DR: Verdict: Overall, there wasn't a single claim in either of the two posts that was proven inaccurate by the video, while a ton of major points were confirmed. Things like the name of the map, the exfil system, the rarity system, Weaver, upgradeable perks, bunny rabbit, perk cans, boss zombies, OG ray gun, nova dogs were all proven to be perfectly accurate, which lends validity to the rest of the unconfirmed claims.

Here are the features of note that remain unconfirmed that are likely to be true:

    1. Perks are different, Stamin-up is back, Widow's Wine/Cherry are gone.
    2. Vietnam map and Nacht survival at launch, 4-5 maps being worked on. Kino and Der Riese getting the Nacht->Die Maschine treatment for DLC drops. No Tranzit at launch.
    3. Double Pack alternate ammo types are back, including a new one called Plasmatic Burst.
    4. Ray Rifle, buildable shield and jet pack.
    5. Survival and Quest modes.
    6. From my own inferring, PaPing multiple times is the pathway to upgrading your gun to higher rarities, which also serves as the replacement for Double Tap 2.

Dark Aether Story Theory ⚠️Possible Spoilers⚠️

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 08:12 AM PDT

Since the cycle was broken in Blood of The Dead the Shadowman was still inside the Summoning Key. At the end of Tag der Toten, Nikolai destroys the summoning key. It could be possible that The Shadowman escaped by possessing Eddie. I think Sam and Eddie unknowingly brought the Shadowman into this new timeline. After they arrived the Shadowman may have convinced Eddie to do his bidding.

It's not much, but proof to back up this theory are the blue stuffed rabbits in replace of the teddy bears at box locations since the blue rabbit was Eddie's toy when they were in the house. Also written on the Stairs in Nacht in Die Maschine is, "the accursed one will rise again," I believe that to be in reference to the Shadowman.

If the Sam in the trailer is the Samantha from the end of Tag (which I believe she is) the reason why there has been no mention of Eddie may be because they are keeping it a secret for a later reveal.

I REALLY hope we won't have to do easter eggs in order to do basic tasks...

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 04:17 AM PDT

... such as Pack a Punch, mystery box, get into new areas etc...

I get that easter egg hunting in COD zombies has become a sensation but sometimes you just want to play and have / survive not keeping 1 zombie alive just so you can progress and do tasks.

Am I the only person that almost completely forgets how to play a map after not playing it for a month or longer?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:20 PM PDT

I started going back and playing old zombies maps just to realize I forgot the Easter eggs in the maps I knew easter eggs to and forgot almost every part location and things to do around the map.

I don't really feel like watching a video to see how to do them again either I might just stick to learning cold war zombies when it comes out.

Thing I'm most exited about CW zombies.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 09:33 AM PDT

Actual real life weopan, not made up future garbage. Real guns that actually exist. I'm not talking about wonder weopans just standard guns. I miss the days of WAW and black ops where the guns where actual real life guns. God I cannot wait to use a m16 not some made up bollocks.

Thankyou for coming to my T.E.D.D talk.

This is a bit of a rant I made in the comments of the CW Zombies First Look. I felt like I was seeing a lot of negativity and wanted to give my two cents on it all. Thought I’d share here for upvotes, I mean share it here to spread my person opinions... yeah...

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 03:19 AM PDT

I've seen so much shit being thrown around these comments it's wild. People complaining about change even tho people hated BO4 and some are starting to retroactively hate BO3 because they were "more of the same." This zombies definitely promises to shake things up and is clearly mostly Gameplay focused with a much smaller story focus. It's what we wanted as a community after BO4 sacrificed gameplay for story but I guess no anymore. Too much change, uga boga. But like really I feel like systematically ripping into complaints I've seen in these comments

    1. Crew is boring. Unfortunately the old crew is gone because of PLOT and so most people knew that we were getting a new crew. Now after this trailer we were shown that the "new crew" is actually a customizable Spec-Ops team that are peeps from MP for the most part. This is clearly a choice made in the sake of Gameplay. With customization and non-specific characters it allows Treyarch a lot more breathing room because they don't need to make a massive amount of lore and shit for these characters. Y'all can call it lazy but imo it's practical and I don't mind it too much since like I said before this is obviously more gameplay focused zombies. Besides we can get our interesting and good character moments from Weaver and Sam (I hope Sam is a reoccurring person at least)

    2. Extraction. Sooooo... why? Why are people mad at this? From what we know it's just like, an alternative way to end the game. If you're really that upset about being able to extract from the area after a few intense, harder round rounds, then cook a fucking Grenade and die to end your games like normal. It's not a big deal and not that game changing in a grand scheme of things. This just seems like the most pointless complaint since it is just a buyable ending type deal.

    3. Loadouts. This one I get slightly. My biggest concern is balance and if this system trivializes the Mystery Box. I love hitting the box and gambling for a unique weapon, but of course if you spawn with a god weapon then what's the point? My theory for this is that the gun you spawn with will be the lowest rarity and you can either upgrade it or get something off the wall/box. However the other most common version of this complaint I see is simply people being mad they don't have a pistol anymore. My simple question is this. Why? For one thing the devs clearly said you can take whatever you want, so if you want a pistol you can go ahead. I've seen people say shit like "oh the games not built for pistols anymore." And that's just fucking stupid to say. What did the Scottish man say again? "All Weapons have the potential to become and Uberweapon." If that is truly the case then guess what, the shitty starter pistol you are crying about no only will be possible to use, but can become a super strong weapon. One other thing tho to the people that simply complain about how we don't start with pistols anymore. How long did you keep a pistol in the average zombies map? Unless you wanted to make Mustang and Sally (other variants are available, see Death and Taxes, etc) you probably got rid of your pistol by round 5 or 6. Assuming you don't suck hot ass at zombies you probably play until round 25-35 on average meaning for the majority of the game you didn't even have your pistol. I see the point of this argument from a balance perspective, but the other versions of this complaint are really stupid.

    4. Scorestreaks. Tbh these make sense. We are playing as a International, CIA Spec Ops team. These people are in theory equipped with high tier military equipment. Back in BO1-3 we were a team of 4 lone survivors in the apocalypse with the majority of mankind dead and technology destroyed. Our only form of survival was praying the magic men/little girl wanted to play with us a little longer. The situation is different and the ability makes sense. I think they will function very similar to specialist weapons where you build them up with kills and then can release a one-time temporary ability that wipes the floor with zombies. When the Ragnarok DG-4s could erase a horde of zombies in a moment nobody complained, but score streaks that likely serve a similar function? Nah fuck that noise.

    5. You goofy ass motherfuckers in general. Title of this section aside, I'm really questioning the things people are saying. I've seen people say shit like "This isn't zombies anymore." "This isn't Treyarch anymore." "They don't care about the fans." "Zombies was perfect before and shouldn't have changed at all in the last 12 years." Y'all really need to stop. They aren't betraying us or anything like that. If anything BO4 was the betrayal and CW is trying to make up for it by offering an experience that is incredibly fresh with some similarities. Zombies wasn't perfect in WAW or BO1. It wasn't perfect in BO3 and definitely wasn't perfect in BO4. Guess what? Also wasn't perfect in BO2. Every version had its flaws, and CW will also probably have some flaws too. But I can guarantee that all you goofy people who said that zombies has always been perfect would've fucking shot yourselves by now if zombies was a small as it was back in Der Rise. Maybe CW is too ambitious but it's waaaay to early to call it a bad game or a great game. You can say it looks good or you can say it looks bad but until we get our hands on it we can't condemn it to any camp.

Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

Anyone a little sad we aren't getting chaos back in any capacity? It may have started a bit week but ancient evil kicked all kinds of ass. I just feel like they were making a lot of cool new assets for chaos while in anther they will always reuse multiplayer assets cause they can.

    Scorestreaks Replace Gobble Gum

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 10:19 AM PDT

I believe the scorestreaks are going to replace gobble gum and elixirs, there being infinite streaks (simpler ones) and more complex ones being gotten from a lab type of system similar to bo3 and bo4, where you could get like care packages that contain scoresteaks

Imagine being sooo close to doing Dead of the Night EE Solo Round 1. Rip. (Round 2 Solo DoTN)

Hoping for a fun, replayable EE in BOCW versus a long, tedious egg hunt

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 09:08 AM PDT

Don't know who else feels this way but I would much rather have a fun and replayable EE for the launch maps as opposed to a hard and tedious EE hunt the couple days after launch. EE hunts are fun and all but I'm hoping to beat these maps on solo time and time again over the course of the year.

"Black Ops 1 Reimagined" I found this mod which revamps the classic BO1 system with bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and new balance to make it a more modern

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:42 PM PDT

Just wanted to share it here because I think some of you guys might really enjoy this while we wait for Black Ops Cold War.

Here are some of the notable changes I think are pretty cool:

    • Double Tap now increases damage by 1.5x so it's actually way more worth it, but still not overpowered
    • You can switch out of death machines like in BO3, plus they do more damage like in BO3
    • A bunch of the guns that had shit tier ammo like the Famas, Spectre, etc. actually get a small boost so they are more usable
    • He added some cool guns like the PPSH, AK47, Stoner, and PSG1 from Black Ops 1 campaign, all with realistic pack a punch variants. The AK even gets the flamethrower attachment!
    • The WaW remasters are a little more faithful now, the Marines are present on Nacht/Verruckt, molotovs are back
    • There's a bunch of completely optional HUD options which you can enable in settings, such as a timer, zombie counter, character name by your points, zone location, etc.
    • You can pull your combat knife out at any point which is pretty neat
    • There's new visual things/updated models, like on Moon you actually put the helmet model on instead of a gas mask
    • Wonder weapons like the Winters Howl that used to be shit actually work well now
    • Easter eggs can be done in solo

And there's even more, but those were what I thought stand out.

The mod is vanilla oriented, so the changes are not going to be crazy or take you out of the game. It's all about building on top of what Treyarch delivered, not about completely changing it. It's also geared towards high rounders so things are a little less annoying, I believe you can even kill the moon astronaut now with a shot from the wave gun.

Here is the page with all the info https://github.com/Jbleezy/BO1-Reimagined
