    “Zombies isn’t Call of Duty. 6v6 is Call of Duty and everything else is a gimmick.” This is an extreme example, but the Cold War Subreddit is way too negative about the game. I think we should flood the sub and spread some positivity there.

    Outbreak Level 35 and Exfil Crystals (Plus strategy)

    This is after 35 rounds of Outbreak solo plus a successful exfil. I stopped collecting refined aetherium at round 30 because the game caps the max refined aetherium you can collect to the max number of crystals needed to upgrade all abilities to tier four. So add 8-10 to the final count for accurate statistics. This took about 4 hours. https://i.imgur.com/5oC0WCV.jpg

    I failed numerous times at rounds 6-10 before "figuring out" how to play outbreak and making it to round 35 before exfilling so hopefully this might be useful.

    My class - Hauer 77 with the standard set up. Having brain rot is helpful, so I would recommend this as your weapon mod. My special ability is Frenzy guard because the problem isn't really with firepower, it's your shields constantly being depleted. The Hauer gives you as much DPS as you need to complete all the objectives without ring of fire so that's why I choose Frenzy guard over that.

    Time saving tips:

    When you start out the game, do not waste any time looting or completing side quests. The rewards from completing objectives including salvage/points will be enough to upgrade things in a timely manner, so it's not efficient to spend time looting. If you see a chest on your way to an objective, you can loot it. But other than that, it wastes time.

    Upgrading to Stamina tier V is helpful while doing this. It should be one of the first perks purchase in game, even before jug. After the first objective, I pack a punch my Hauer and when I have enough, Stamina up is the next thing I buy.

    Objective Tips:

    When you get the chance, buy a death machine. If you do not completely consume the ammo of your death machine, you can reuse it after each objective (ammo refills automatically when traveling between new maps). And always refill armor before starting a new objective. Be sure to make your special ability is charged up either fully or near full so that you have it available during the objectives.

    Eliminating the high value target: Easiest objective in the game. Use your death machine to take out the special enemy when he spawns in. The enemy will jump two times as there is a capped number of damage you can do before you kill him so don't burn all your ammo on the first segment. If you struggle here, take out the 7-10 enemies that spawn around the target first before using your death machine to inflict damage. Once you take out the surrounding zombies, they will generally not respawn, so you can do direct damage onto the enemy without having to worry about taking hits from spawned zombies.

    Rover escort: Always remain as far in front of the rover when escorting it and pay attention to when zombies spawn. Zombies will normally spawn in front of the rover in groups, see here. You must then push up to the zombie group and start clearing them out. Do not wait for them approach the rover and then start shooting, always be proactive about clearing out zombies (regardless of the objective). It's okay if the rover stops moving. Doing this will prevent the rover from taking damage and will make it easier for you to kill all zombies because they are in a consolidated group. If you wait for zombies to move to you and the rover, targeting zombies becomes more difficult because half are attacking you, half are attacking the rover. This also works well when dealing with elites and with dogs. Another helpful tip - Always use the death machine to take out specials like the megaton, Panzersoldats, Avogadro. Your shotgun will not allow you to get ranged kills, so this is where the death machine comes in. They will spawn in front of the rover fairly far away, so do not allow them to get close. Again, the idea here is you want to be proactive about clearing zombies so you have most control. You lose control when they begin pushing you and the rover.

    Defending Sergei's head: If the objective takes place in the Alpine wooded cabins or in the church, always clear out at least 7-10 zombies before you obtain his head and place into the machine to defend. These enemies do not respawn once you take them out, therefore you'll have a clear path to obtain the head and place it into the machine without sacrificing too much armor. If you're doing this objective outdoors, you generally can just get the head and place it into the machine without much issues. Much of Outbreak comes down to armor management. Sometimes in higher rounds Pnzersoldats and megatons will spawn around the objective area (especially in the church), you'll want to kill them before you start the objective. Do not use your death machine for this -- save it for the objective. Try to manage a couple minutes just using your Hauer to clear out zombies. Save the death machine for the end or for special enemies like Pnzersoldats and Megatons. The reason for this is you'll want to deal with special zombies early. If you spend too much time using your Hauer to deal damage to special enemies, the area will be overflooded with normal zombies and you have a high chance of going down. So use the death machine to quickly handle tanky zombies to prevent normal zombies from building up.

    Retrieving and Loading Canisters: Don't spend time eliminating enemies near the rocket launch platform when the objective starts. Most will generally despawn by the time you retrieve a canister. Big exception to this - if you see a Panzersoldats (or other specials), use your death machine to quickly eliminate it. This will in fact follow you and it will be burdensome to deal with if you try to take it out while doing the objective. So eliminate it ahead of time and save the trouble. Once you get to the canister areas, you'll notice zombies protecting the area. Always kill most of them if you are not a player that feels confident you can kill them while you are running slow with the canister. Again, once you eliminate them, they will not respawn which makes taking the canisters to the rocket platform easier. You might see special zombies like Avogadro, Panzersoldats, or megratrons around these objectives. Generally, I try to kill Avogradro and Panzersoldats with my death machine while leaving the megaton. The megatonAI will not allow them to catch up to you while you are delivering the canaisters. When delivering the canisters, the main focus should be killing fast normal zombies that will hit you and take out your armor quickly. So what I like to do is deliver the canisters backwards with eyes on the mini map. I take out zombies chasing behind me, and I look at the mini map to navigate where I'm going and kill zombies that might spawn in front of me. If you realize no zombies are chasing you, do not deliver the canister backwards, just complete the objective normally. Save your special ability for when you are about to insert the canisters to stun enemies near you. It takes too much time to clear out enemies near the rocket platform while you have a canister, so again -- use your special ability here to stun enemies near by. Alternatively, you can use a car to drive to and back from the rocket platform. The car will take damage while you have a canister so generally I've avoided doing this. Plus, it's hard for me to control the car. You might not have an issue with this so it's worth a try.

    Holdouts:. For hold outs, attempt to use your Hauer until about 1:15 left on the clock. You'll usually get two waves of special enemies (like megatons). Do not use your death machine on the first wave, use it on the second. You'll definitely be using your special ability here so don't hesitate to use it. You should make sure you have quick revive -- if you are nearly complete with the objective, let the quick revive bar go all the way down before you pick yourself back up. This will shave a few extra seconds off the clock.
