Into the Aether: Farewell from Jason Blundell Posted: 28 Feb 2020 02:00 PM PST After thirteen fantastic, action-packed years, I am moving on from Treyarch. During my time at the studio, I've been privileged to work on a variety of projects, wearing many hats along the way, with my time on the Zombies team proving to be quite special. It's a team comprised of some of the most creative and talented developers in the industry, many of whom you never see because they're behind the scenes shaping the direction of each experience. Clearly, I'd be remiss if I didn't personally thank the group that continues to make it all worth it: the Zombies community! Your passion, enthusiasm — and frankly, your craziness — has been a continued source of inspiration. The beauty of Zombies is that it has always been about the interaction between us as developers and one of the most passionate player communities on the planet. These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime. The team at Treyarch has been nothing short of awesome — thank you! And thank you to the fans for giving me the opportunity to bring life to the undead in so many wonderful ways, the honor has been all mine! Jason Blundell [link] [comments]

Origins is the hardest zombies map. Posted: 29 Feb 2020 12:02 PM PST Am I the only one who finds origins extremely hard? I'm not new to the game or anything and I consider myself a decent player but I find this map very difficult whether it be the robots always appearing at the wrong time or the Panzer coming in when you least expect and the mud oh the mud most of the downs I take on this map are mud related. Let me know if any of you feel the same. [link] [comments]
Now that Blundell has left Treyarch, is there any hope for Chaos story to continue? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:26 AM PST As someone who's a fan of Chaos, Blundell's departure leaves me with little hope that Chaos will continue. What do you think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Feb 2020 11:49 AM PST I have recently decided to play Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies recently on my xbox one through cross play and I happen to be missing two of my DLC maps, being Die Rise and Mob of the Dead. Interestingly, I still kept Buried. I've tried contacting treyarch to no avail, do you guys know how to fix this? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2020 11:37 PM PST You made some of the best zombies maps and Campaigns of all time, you will be missed. Out of the zombie's directors, I always thought you were truly the best, I'm happy we at least have a good replacement who will continue on your legacy! [link] [comments]
I am excited to see Lee Ross as the head of zombies now at Treyarch! Posted: 29 Feb 2020 12:11 PM PST Zombies in Spaceland was and still is one of the most fun and entertaining maps I ever played, it honestly might be in my top 5 favorite zombie maps. Can't wait to see the direction Lee will take us in! [link] [comments]
Why Does Revelations Feel So Final But Not Tag? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 07:45 PM PST I've been thinking about this a lot lately; this thought that I would've been okay if the story ended with Revelations. Now, I've seen RadAustin recently posted a video on this but I'm yet to watch it but it got me thinking, if BO4's Aether story wasn't just tacked on, why is Revelations such a better finale then Tag? We have hidden radios and those Shadow Man and Monty wisps. Each one tells us what happened to pretty much every map and every crew. Radios about the disappearance of the Call of the Dead cast, the Alcatraz prisoners, etc. So many answers, so many "revelations." The map itself may be seen as lazy but fun by some but story wise, it all feels final. Finally, on the topic of the map itself, that feels kinda final too. The crew fighting side by side across pieces of the broken multiverse, leaping from Kino to Alcatraz to Nacht. It's like a swan song. Sure, the map could've been better, maybe more islands and benefited with more original areas but it still felt final. Yet Tag just feels like business as usual? Call of the Dead but bigger and with Victis. I don't get it, I really don't. Was it budget cuts? Was this the plan all along? Did Activision force Treyarch to continue Aether? Curious to see what others think! [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Feb 2020 04:31 AM PST Quick question, what are the effects of the panzer helmet/plunger? I've seen them used so many times but don't know how to obtain or use them, any help? [link] [comments]
(Mod Tools) Need Help With Perk Sounds Posted: 29 Feb 2020 07:47 AM PST So i fixed the jingles, but when i drink the perk i only have the burping sound not the drinking or swallowing sounds. Nor breaking it on the floor. I also have no source checksum problems and its all set up right as far as i know. [link] [comments]
Regarding the Gorod Krovi boss fight... how do you avoid getting instadowned in the beginning? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 07:40 AM PST So yesterday I managed to beat the EE for the first time, but I used NDE to make sure I can see the entirety of the boss fight (100% of my failures were me going down during the valkyrie escort step, so I did not want to throw my chance away). It did save me, but I degress. I decided to try a no gobblegum run (like I did will all pre-GK EEs in BO3), and I made it to the boss fight. However, as the conversation was going on between Nikolai and me about teaming up vs the dragon, a hitmarker appeared, and I went down just like that. It looked to me that when Nikolai was shooting at the zombies right behind me, something must have hit me, but I don't know. Anyway, how can avoid that scenario? [link] [comments]
Any games similar to COD Zombies with the easter eggs? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:09 AM PST I want to play a game with a similar premise to the easter eggs in zombies. I know about Destiny 2 Raids but that about it. [link] [comments] |
