    IW zombies..

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 03:54 AM PDT

Now I know I'm going to get downvoted for this, but I just wanna say that IW zombies is awesome. I got late to it, but after the latest disappointment with treyarch zombies it is a breath of fresh air! I'm doing all the easter eggs and they're all very well made and original with the willard wyler storyline. I can't believe this went under the radar.

I left around the release of the game and want to go back and revisit the maps so I can understand what happened with the story. Any recommendations on how to go about doing this? Have only played the launch maps

Unpopular opinion: Exo Zombies (AW) was good

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 09:45 PM PST

It's like WAW zombies but futuristic. There was no pay to win bullshit. It was just about fun. The base level is pretty fun to play through. It's a nice type of zombies to just fuck around with friends. The weapons were balanced and the enemy AI was balanced. It's not great. The story is uninteresting but the gameplay is good.

BO4 IX Easter Egg Questions (plus general questions as well)

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 04:11 AM PDT

My friend and I have been trying the IX easter egg 5 or 6 times over the past few days, but several areas have held us up for one reason or another. I have several questions for these areas, so feel free to give any advice you can or if you know of anything I didn't mention, feel free to let me know. As a side note, I've read that this map has the easiest easter egg in the game and that is somewhat concerning because of the newer zombie mechanics in BO4, and several other things, but maybe I'm wrong there.

    1) Getting crowd affinity for the wonder weapon. I know that this isn't technically required, but when there are 2 players in the game, this step is practically essential for us because that weapon helps a lot when trying to last out waves and the mystery box can take forever. We know the steps for this, but gaining, and keeping, affinity is the hardest part. We've tried having one of us kill most of the zombies, kill all of the champions, and return to the area in the center to wait for the vase, but that person often loses max affinity before the vase decides to drop. We've had the vase drop on round 9 at the earliest, but sometimes it takes until in the late teens or early 20s.

    • Is there a specific trigger that allows for the vase to be dropped, as in does the Pack a Punch need to be finished, do we need the skull from the Temple, does the acid trap step need to be done, etc?

    • Also, what is the fastest way to gain affinity, and keep it, specifically in a coop game if it is different?

    2) The segment after charging the lighting rods for Zeus. This section has you using your special weapon exclusively to kill heavy enemies and tigers. When we've started this, we usually have a base level special weapon, so I would assume that building that over time would greatly help to avoid being overrun. So far, we've both been running the Viper and Dragon for damage output, however I used to run the Scepter. I changed because the damage output on that seems horrible in comparison, at least at rank 1, so its actually gotten me killed more than its saved me. Overall, this section isn't extremely difficult, but both of our Dying Wishes activated right before it was over so we'd like to avoid that on our next run.

    • Which special weapon is the best one considering damage and upgrade abilities, and do any specials compliment each other well?

    • Assuming that the key to this part is having your weapon level 2 or 3, what is the best way to level it? Is just training and wiping out large groups the best? How do you level the weapons that don't deal much damage?

    3) The waves for Odin. This part probably speaks for itself considering how much I'm assuming that most players struggled with it, but our situation was strange. We both had max Packed weapons, Serket's Kiss, perks including Dying Wish, and a shield. The odd part is that my friend's dying wish ended up activating, but he also went down again shortly afterwards. However, instead of going fully down and being able to self-revive or be revived by me, he simply fully died and got knocked into spectator mode. None of the guides and text write-ups we read ever mentioned that you couldn't go down here, and my friend only had gone down once before.

    • So, are there any recommended weapons for this? We both typically use wall weapons during the easter egg because ammo can sometimes be an issue, but would this be something we should change or are there some wall weapons that are actually very good from those options?

    • What is the overall strategy for when you get overrun? Training seems impossible without someone getting swarmed, but simply spamming Serket's Kiss doesn't feel overly viable either, right?

    • Are deaths/downs allowed here, or is it a one and done thing? Did we have a glitch or is it just an unstated rule that isn't applied during any other section of the easter egg?

Those are the main questions here. If there are any other general tips surrounding the initial loadout we should start with, elixers, perks, etc, that can all be extremely helpful. We believe that we have most of that stuff covered, but any other tips/tips that confirm our current knowledge are appreciated. Working on something for 3+ hours each night just to fail so close to the end is definitely weighing on us, and we want to be able to work on a different easter egg after finishing this one, so thanks in advance.

Is the secret doors with interactive objects in every map true?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 09:07 AM PDT

I saw a video about a secret door on MOTD and the 1500 door on both Ascensions (BO1 + BO3) Could these two doors have something in common or could they be some mega EE where you have to do every single EE (Side and main) to get them to open?

Using staffs to fill chests on Origins in BO3

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 08:39 AM PDT

IIRC, in bo2 there was a problem with the staffs when you were filling chests, if you killed multiple zombies with one blast it often registered it as one kill. Does that problem occur in bo3 too?

    Toxic players in Public Matches

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 01:14 AM PST

So I've been playing mostly only solo since BO3 released, but recently since I got bored I started playing some public matches. I've played like 20 now, I never died in any of them. The match always ended because some asshole left after going down on round like 20. I find them all the time, they get in a public match, use all the op Gobblegums they can, and then leave, so they can't loose them. And the match ends because the game can't find a better host. I swear I had to pull out my PS3 and hop on WaW Der Riese to find some people that actually played. Is any of you in the same situation?

What I'd want to see in bo5.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 06:02 AM PDT

Disclaimer: all of these ideas will be under the assumption treyarch only slightly tweaks the UI from bo4.

The first thing I'd want to see in bo5 zombies is more customization options. Instead of just allowing us to select our perk loadout, equipment, & specialist abilitys why not allow us to select the guns that'll be on the wall?( excluding starting room for balancing reasons.) I'm aware this probably isnt as easy as i think it is but it would create a lot of variation and help to lower the amount of time endlessly spinning the box until you get the setup you want. Sometimes the gun you wish was in zombies just isn't. I.e. the vector from bo2 if you can put it in the game its a whole new experience( well not really but ya get where im going.)

The next thing I'd want to see is some gameplay tweaks when it comes to zombie types. If they're gonna stay in the game lets change it up. Every zombie type will have it's own special round and once you've seen all of them the next special round will have all of them at once. They will spawn with regular zombies only when all special rounds have been progessed through and at a reduced spawn(every 3 rounds or so.)

Third, map changes. Every zombie map ever has low traffic or "dead" zones. You know that one or two rooms that dont really have anything you want or need and once you've progressed through them( assuming you needed to pass through at all.) You never really have a reason to go back to this area. I'd remedy this by reducing map size or adding a challenge to certain areas that dont really add much to gameplay or story. I.e. soul box or get X amount of kills with this weapon and get another perk or a piece to the maps wonder weapon. ( this way if someones gotten it from the box you can do a challenge or two to get it for yourself) sidenote: I'd also like to see the bank system return or something like ww2's point sharing system.

Fourth, pack a punch. Just a few things here. Pack a punch will have concepts from exo zombies and ww2. The idea of the weapon upgrade station would mean that the double pap abilitys would be there but also your gun gets some form of upgrade every two to three paps. ( more ammo in the mag, additional attachments not selected in armory, etc etc.) Also the option to simply refill ammo would be added as well. That way you don't have to pray for a special round or use a gobblegum or elixir or whatever it is in the next game.

Finally, co-op pause. I'm not sure how this would be implemented but it needs to be a thing. It's long overdue. You shouldn't have to down and/or die just cause you gotta take a piss in the middle of round 70. Maybe the player or players are teleported to a safe zone for a short period. 3 minutes at the most and you can only co-op pause once a round to prevent abuse.

Anyways these are just some ideas i thought sounded cool at work. What would you guys like to see in bo5 zombies?

    How active is zombies PC
