Just wait, fully blind zombies crew incoming Posted: 26 Jul 2021 10:55 AM PDT Myself and another blind person have been playing Cold war for a while, recently I've been able to demonstrate how detailed the sound engine really is in Cold war to other blind people looks like we might have a full crew on our hands. If we can complete outbreak objectives by ourselves without help, imagine the efforts of a full crew, of course it'll take some time to teach these guys everything. Imagine seeing more fully blind people getting around party or 40 on regular maps, accessibility is a great thing [link] [comments]

The Ultimate EE Guides: Mauer Der Toten Posted: 26 Jul 2021 07:26 AM PDT Mauer Der Toten: Easter Egg GuideStruggling with the map's layout? Is your mind boggling over certain steps? Not sure what to use for the boss fight? This is the guide to help you with all your worries and make this Easter Egg an absolute breeze! EE Length: 45 Mins - 1 Hour Difficulty: Medium Recommended Player Count: 3 or 4 Pre-SetupAll you really need when you start your game is a strong weapon that you can use throughout your game, as a secondary to either a ray gun, a CRBR-S or even an LMG. I would recommend using the Hauer Shotgun, even though it is not all that useful for the boss, it is very powerful and will help in the early rounds while setting up, and works wonders against the Kranzy Soldat as well as the Manglers. Can also work well for later steps before the boss fight. Easter Egg Steps;Step 1) Turn on the Power1) First of all you will want to go to the Garment Factory. In order to do this there are 2 routes from the spawn; a) You can go down the hole in spawn and go to the rappel that takes you to the 5th Floor Apartments. From here, turn right and head down the corridor toll you see a door with a power arrow pointing towards it. Enter through this door and you will find yourself on the Korber Rooftop, in which follows through into the Garment Factory. b) Alternatively, you can go to the rappel right in front of you at spawn that will take you to the Destroyed Penthouse. From here, take the other rappel to the Korber Rooftop and then you will be able to go around to the Garment Factory. 2) Once in the Garment Factory enter through the door taking you down the steps into the East Berlin Street. From here, you can take either the ladder or the stairs entry towards the Ghost Station. Cross the tracks once the train passes and on the right side of the tracks (Mule Kick side) go to the far right door to take you to the sewer access. Then take the next door to the right of the armour station to take you into the power room. 3) Once in the power room you will notice that pulling the lever to turn the power on will not work since it will blow the fuses. You will need to collect 2 new fuses. To do this, go through the next door to leave the power room to take you through to the switch control room (this is also next to Mule Kick). Then a tempest will spawn, kill them to collect the first fuse. If you've already killed the other tempest to collect the 2nd fuse then head back to the power room and insert the fuses, pulling the lever to turn on the power (the 2nd fuse will be with a tempest either on the train tracks or in the pub on the right side of the East Berlin streets - basically in the area you haven't yet opened up). Note: There will be 2 warning symbols to help guide you if you get lost, and sometimes the tempest can spawn on the East Berlin Streets when you first step into there. Step 2) Open Pack A PunchOnce you've turned on the power head back to the sewer access and take the rappel on the left side up to the West Berlin Streets. From here, head to Checkpoint Charlie (where PAP is) and interact with the machine. A Disciple will summon a horde of Zombies to attack you and all you need to do is kill the Disciple and then Pack A Punch will be available for you to use. Step 3) Build & upgrade KlausBuild Klaus: 1) In order to build Klaus you will need to collect 2 parts; a) Hands - You will need to put the Brain Rot attachment onto one of your guns from the Pack A Punch machine. Then head to the 5th Floor Apartments and go to Room 305. You will notice a door boarded up with wood boards. Turn a Zombie using Brain Rot in the room and the Zombie will tear down the door opening up a secret room. In here you can collect Klaus' hands. b) Battery - Collect from the first Kranzy Soldat you kill in your game. The first one spawns at Round 10. 2) Now you have both parts, go down to the Safe House (either from the rappel on left side of the West Berlin Streets or through the passage leading from the switch control room) and when you are ready, place both parts onto Klaus to activate him. Note: When Klaus is activate you will have a control you can use with LB/L1 to move Klaus wherever you want. I would advise that when you have him first active, go to the sewer access and you will see a wall at the back of the room. Take Klaus to this wall and he will use his fist to smash this wall down. You will need to do this for the next steps. Upgrade Klaus: 1) Before beginning the upgrading process you will need to go to the Death Strip next to the Pack A Punch machine and dig multiple dig sites until you find the Satellite Dish. Once you have this, go to the Garment Factory and you will have a prompt to place it in a stand (looks similar to an armour station). 2) Now you will need to allow Klaus to kill around 30 Zombies before taking him down to the Garment Factory. Once you have enough kills, you will notice that the stand you placed the Satellite Dish in will have a green light on it. If it doesn't, keep letting Klaus get kills till the light goes green. From here, lure Klaus to step into the machine and he will begin his 1st upgrading process. 3) Klaus will take 1 minute to finish upgrading and you will need to protect him from a bunch of enemies trying to destroy him. Multiple Zombies and Disciples will spawn in this defence so be sure to take them out quickly. It would be best to use Ring and Fire for this, along with a shotgun or even the wonder weapon if you have it at this time. Note: You can upgrade Klaus a further 2 times but this is not required so I will not be describing how to do this in the guide. If you wish to upgrade him further for use in the Boss Fight, here is a helpful guide by MrDalekJD to help you do this. The 2nd & 3rd Upgrades are explained from 02:14 to 04:44. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B21P6QxfveE Step 4) Open up the Secret Lab1) Once you have Klaus active, if you haven't already, take him down to the sewer access and lead him to a wall at the back of the room. Klaus will punch this wall down revealing a secret door. 2) In order to open this door you will need the CRBR-S wonder weapon. There are 3 ways you can get this; a) Trials b) Mystery Box c) A safe found inside the secret room of Room 305. To open this safe you will need to do the following; - Lead Klaus to a locker in the switch control room and he will break it open, revealing a black light that you can collect. - Using the black light you will need to find 3 sets of 2 numbers that will be used for opening the safe. These sets of numbers are in the Garment Factory, then the Service Passage, and finally, the Grocery Store. Garment Factory Locations - Above the exit door, on a blackboard, or below the graffiti that reads 'I can end this' next to the steps. Service Passage Locations - On the right side of the wall next to the ladder, on the top of the entry opposite the ladder, or above an electric box as you enter the tunnel section of the service passage. Grocery Store Locations - On the side of a shelf, in the top left corner at the back of the room, or on the left side wall of the entrance. - Once you have all 3 sets of numbers in this order, head to the secret room in Room 305 and using LB/L1 & RB/R2 input your numbers and then open the safe to collect the CRBR-S. 3) Now you will need to kill Zombies with the CRBR-S until they drop the Laser variant of the weapon. Collect this and then go down to the door in the sewer access and shoot it using the Laser variant of the CRBR-S until it melts the door down and you are able to enter the room. 4) You'll notice that there are orange coloured orbs blocking some things in the Secret Lab. Head to the next round and these orbs will disappear. Step 5) Fill all 3 cannisters with Tempest essenceNow that the orbs have vanished from the Secret Lab, you'll need to collect the 3 cannisters from the centre. Then, with your CRBR-S you will want to shoot the essence trap container to release an essence trap for collection (this is located right next to the canisters, it was the other item in the room trapped by the orb originally). There are 3 general locations to place all 3 canisters. You will need to place them one by one in boxes that emit a green light on the top. These locations can change every game but here are all possible spawns; a) On the right side of the train tracks, on a platform leading up to the West Berlin Streets. b) At the bottom section of the Destroyed Penthouse, to the far right of the rappel that leads to the Grocery Store. c) To the left of the entrance door to the electronics store. d) Near the tank on the West Berlin Streets. e) In the alley of the West Berlin Streets, next to the rappel leading up to the Korber Rooftop. f) On the Korber Rooftop. Once you have found a green box, place a canister into it and throw down your essence trap. This will spawn 3 tempests, kill them, and their essence will fill the canisters. Now, you will need to collect the canister and slowly make your way down to the Secret Lab to place it in its respective holder. Lots of boss enemies will spawn such as Tormentors and Manglers during this so be careful and if you need to, activate the explosive effect to clear out any enemies blocking your path. Note: You will need to do this a total of 3 times with 1 of each canister. Remember to grab an essence trap before heading off to fill the next canister. You can do all 3 in 1 round if you wish. On Co-Op, 1 person can not carry all 3 canisters back to their holders, other players may have to do this while you are protecting them. Step 6) Find & craft the headgear onto KlausIn order to do the later steps, you will need to find 3 pieces of headgear for Klaus. These will allow him to hack into the mainframe for Step 8. Note: You will need to shoot each location with your CRBR-S to collect the part. Also, you do not have to do this step until you have done Step 7 so if you find it easier, skip forward to Step 7 then come back here to do this step. Here are the locations of the 3 parts; a) On a green panel at the top corner of a right side platform (same place as a location for a green box - shoot with the CRBR-S to collect the part). b) The tower at spawn (shoot the tower with the CRBR-S to collect the part). c) A radio in the electronics store (keep shooting all of the radios with the CRBR-S until the part pops out for collection). Now you have all 3 parts, you'll need to go down to the safe house and craft them onto Klaus. This will complete the step and you'll be given a quote by Klaus to confirm this. Step 7) Collect the Warhead & ID CardKravchenko will inform you that you need to collect both a Warhead and an ID Card for the computer terminal in the Safe House. To do this you'll need to activate Klaus and have him stand on the mid-right of either side of the train tracks. You will know if he is on the correct side since he will mention stopping the train and have his hands out, ready to stop the train. Note: If he is not doing this within about 15 seconds or so, you can either lead him to the opposite side of the tracks, (once again in the mid-right of them) or keep him in the same spot and switch the tracks in the switch control room. Once the train comes, Klaus should stop the train. If he doesn't it is best to try in the next round or when Klaus is next active (or try in the same round if someone holds a Zombie). Once onto the train, collect the ID Card on the chair and the Warhead in the centre in an open box. Step 8) Activate the computer terminalPlace the Warhead into the canister holder and then take the ID Card into the Safe House and interact with the computer. Keep interacting with it until it gives you the option to 'Activate the Disruptor Satellite'. Once active, this will shoot a beam into the Pack A Punch area. Head to the beam and wipe out all enemies there. This will begin a 5 minute timer. Tip: Do this at the end of a round, with 1 or 2 Zombies left (on Co-Op someone should hold a Zombie). Step 9) Cleanse the Uranium for the WarheadNow you'll need to do the following in order to not have the timer go to 0:00 because this will kill everyone, ending the game; 1) Take the 1st piece of Uranium and head over to a crafting table in a tent next to the tank in the West Berlin Street. Craft the item onto the Uranium and then quickly head over to the Korber Rooftop and place the crafted uranium onto the zipline (to reach there quickly, go up the rappel in the alley of the West Berlin Street). 2) Repeat Step 1 for the 2nd piece of uranium but this time, you'll need to place the crafted uranium onto the opposite side of the zipline (to reach there quickly, go up the rappel in the Grocery Store of the West Berlin Street). Once both crafted uranium pieces are on the ziplines they will collide to create 'pure' uranium. This will also stop the timer. You will need to collect this uranium from the West Berlin Street and then place it in the canister holder, inside the Secret Lab. You will need to repeat all of this again, When ready, activate the computer again to 'Activate the Disruptor Satellite' and a beam will spawn in another location. Head to the beam, kill the enemies and repeat steps 1 and 2 for the new uranium, placing the 'pure' uranium once again into the canister holder. Note: Placing the 2nd (or 3rd) set of 'pure' uranium will begin the boss fight so I would strongly advise everyone to prepare fully with perks, weapons, etc... before you activate the 2nd Disruptor Satellite, spawning the 2nd set of enemies. Tips, recommendations & advice for the Boss FightHave as many perks as humanly possible. I would recommend at least 1 person to have a fully upgraded CRBR-S (recommended swarm or laser variant). Also ensure everyone has full ammo before heading into the boss fight (or at least enough money to purchase ammo). If you feel you need to, have some players have a death machine ready to use to shoot Valentina in any 1 of the stages of the fight. I would also advise other weapons such as the Ray Gun, and, the Hauer. Got any other tips you think might help? Let me know and I'll add them here :) Boss FightHow does the Boss Fight work? The Boss Fight is broken up into 5 stages. For each stage you will need to shoot Valentina until she takes a specific amount of damage, forcing her to retreat to a random location on the map where you will need to continue putting damage into her until she yet again retreats to another location. The fight will begin in the Secret Lab and also end in the Secret Lab. Here are all the locations that Valentina will go to after retreating; 1) Middle of West Berlin Streets 2) Middle of East Berlin Streets 3) On the top portion of the Destroyed Penthouse Note: This could be in any order but she will have visited all 3 locations by the last stage of the Boss Fight. What happens in the Boss Fight? At the start of the fight, Valentina will spawn in on a crystal throne. Multiple enemies including Zombies and Manglers will spawn continually in all stages of the fight. Your job is to shoot Valentina's bubble shield until it breaks and then put enough damage into her before she retreats to the next location. She will retreat a total of 3 times until on the 4th retreat you will return to the Secret Lab where you can finish her off and begin the 1st cutscene. What are Valentina's attacks? Valentina has4 attacks in total. The first 4 will be in the first 2 stages and from the 3rd to the last stage, she will begin to use her final attack along with these attacks that are first introduced. The first 3 attacks are; 1) Fire Pellets - These will destroy your armour so try to get behind cover for this. Also, they can easily down you if you're not careful. 2) Summoning - She will summon lots of tormentors to try and distract you and weaken your health. They are easy to kill so once you kill them, you will have a good window of time to focus fire on Valentina. 3) Healing - For all of the stages, at certain points Valentina will spawn Zombies around her in a ring to try and heal herself. You must kill them quickly or she will heal all the damage you took off her in an instant. She will usually do this after a few of her other attacks and this also creates a good window to focus fire on her (after killing the Zombies around her of course). The final attack that she has (from the 3rd to the 5th stage) is a wipe-out attack. Valentina will build up power and you will notice a blue mist on your screen, make sure to stand behind cover because when Valentina outputs this attack (as a blast of energy), it can instantly down you, so be very careful! How should I go about completing the fight?Take your time, this Boss Fight can take upwards of 7 to 15 minutes to complete. Try to wipe-out as many enemies as you need to before focusing fire on Valentina because the last thing you want to do is to die by a Zombie. Between each stage you will be able to grab perks, armour and Pack A Punch so before heading to the next location Valentina goes to, make sure to be well equipped and to buy back what you may have lost if you took damage or went down. Especially take note of armour, and if you need to you can upgrade the tier level of your weapons in the armour station (E.g. Legendary > Epic). Note: If you are far away from Valentina for too long she will teleport you to her, so be quick! I've killed Valentina, now what do I do?Killing Valentina will cause her crystal throne to break and she will fall to the floor giving you a prompt to capture her. Once you've done this, a mini cutscene will ensue showing Valentina's essence being put into the essence canisters revealing Klaus as the sacrifice to close the portal with The Forsaken's army. All you need to do now is protect Klaus while he walks towards the portal carrying all the canisters. Zombies, Tormentors and Mimic's will spawn during this so make sure to wipe them all out while Klaus is making his way to the portal. Once Klaus reaches the portal he will say 'Auf Wiedersehen' (Goodbye in German) and the final cutscene will begin. Congratulations! You have beaten Mauer Der Toten! Got any questions or further tips that might help? Let me know and I'll add them to the guide. I hope this helped! If you need any further assistance you are welcome to message me on Xbox, my gamertag is DaRkShAdOwYlaf. [link] [comments]
